Anthropic Pro includes Claude Design alongside general Claude chat — it is a research-preview feature, not a standalone product. Enterprise customers must explicitly enable it.

Common questions

Isn't Claude Design made by the same team that makes the AI you use?+

Yes — Anthropic builds Claude, and we license Claude as our coding engine via BYOK or our own API pool. Same brain, different mission. Claude Design produces design artifacts; we produce running production software. The underlying AI quality is identical.

Why not just use Claude Design if I already pay for Claude Pro?+

Use it for pitch decks, brand mood boards, and interactive mockups — that's its sweet spot. For anything that needs to run, accept payments, capture leads, or have a database, Claude Design hits a wall and you end up here anyway. Many of our users run both.

Does Claude Design have real databases, payments, or CRM?+

No. It outputs design artifacts (PDF, PPTX, Canva, HTML). If you want an interactive prototype users can click through for feedback, it's excellent. If you want a running business, it was never built for that.

Can I bring my Claude Design brand system into your Builder?+

We're shipping brand system inheritance in April 2026 — colors, fonts, component defaults auto-apply to every new project. Until then, paste the brand values into the first chat message and Claude Code honors them identically.

What about inline canvas comments?+

Shipping April 2026. Today you refine via chat with quoted element references; the canvas-pin UI comes next month. Once live, it's identical to Claude Design's pattern.
